About Black Cat Harmony

Black Cat Harmony is a mixed voice chorus based in north Bedfordshire. Founded in 2017, we sing a cappella (unaccompanied) songs mostly in four part arrangements.  We enjoy competing at local and national singing events several times a year. Our members come from quite a wide geographic area and most of our members sing with (or have sung with) at least one other singing group.
We usually rehearse in Moggerhanger (east of Bedford) on the second Saturday of every month. (We don't have 'terms' or 'seasons'.)  We also have optional section rehearsals once a month on Monday evenings.

Our members are expected to do much of their song-learning in their own time using good quality learning materials (sheet music and teach tracks).
Although it is helpful to be able to read sheet music, this really isn’t a requirement.
Graham Davies, our MD
, gives us expert vocal coaching and is happy to hold extra sessions between our monthly rehearsals to help and support anyone who needs it.
We don't hold formal auditions but before a new member can take take part in public performances with Black Cat Harmony, Graham will need to hear a short recording to ensure that they meet the minimum standard required.  Support will be provided to help with this, if needed.

If you have a passion for singing and think you might like to join us, please get in touch with Graham (his contact details are
here) to have a chat and arrange a visit to one of our rehearsals.
If you’re putting on a concert and would like us to sing a few songs for your audience, please
get in touch.
