Musical Director

Graham Davies

A qualified Music teacher, Graham was appointed as Musical Director of Black Cat Harmony in August 2019 but is no stranger to Barbershop. During his long career, he has enjoyed national success as a chorus director, taking Shannon Express (who recently merged with Ouse Valley Chorus to create A1 Acappella) to their second gold medal and, as a quartet singer, being awarded gold medals with Shockwave (1999) and the Light Industrial Choral Society (2002).
Graham is also a qualified Sweet Adelines director and was previously MD of Rhapsody Chorus.

Working as part of the Music Team and with support from the Management Team, Graham is coaching us in excellent vocal production. He's also focussing on creating a chorus that acts as one unit and delivers believable performances which engage with audiences.

Graham is married with two grown up children, has two dogs and a classic Triumph Stag. He established and is chairman of G-Whizz Inclusive Tandem Bike Rides, a registered charity, which takes cyclists who can’t ride a bike on their own for hundreds of cycling miles a month. He retired from his position as managing director of a software company at the end of 2020.
